Information
The Nittaku Violin Carbon is an OFF-rated table tennis blade that builds upon the renowned feel of the original Violin by integrating two plies of FE Carbon. This 5+2 ply construction (5 wood + 2 carbon) is designed to meet the demands of the modern poly ball era, offering an appreciable boost in speed and stiffness while preserving much of the sensitive touch that made the Violin a favorite among control-oriented players. The blade measures 156x149 mm, with a thickness of approximately 5.3 mm and a weight around 90 grams, making it relatively light and maneuverable for a carbon blade. The FE Carbon inlays, a specialized fine carbon technology developed by Nittaku, are strategically placed to enlarge the sweet spot and enhance consistency, resulting in a larger margin for error on off-center hits. Despite the added carbon layers, the Violin Carbon maintains a remarkably soft and responsive feel, with minimal harsh vibrations. The blade is well-suited for intermediate to advanced players who rely on spin and precision but need extra firepower against heavy topspin and the reduced spin of plastic balls. Paired with medium-hard to hard rubbers, it excels in looping, blocking, and controlled counter-attacks, offering a balanced blend of speed, control, and feedback. The factory sealing ensures durability, and the handle options (straight and flared) accommodate various grip preferences.
